They will NOT work on hollow soles, soft cork soles, thin running shoe soles, or deck boots with hollow construction — the screws will not hold and studs may fall out. We are not responsible for studs falling out or piercing thin soles if installed on unsuitable shoes. These studs are for outdoor ice/snow use only — do not wear studded shoes indoors on tile, hardwood or polished floors, as the metal tips will scratch flooring. Install directly on your boot's existing raised tread lugs, stop screwing once the flange base sits flush with the lug surface.
